After graduating from the Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, The University of Texas at Austin, South Texas College of Law Houston, and the University of East Anglia, Stephen spent many years working as a Compliance Coordinator at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Outside of his career, Stephen pursued his passion in running, finishing dozens of races, including marathons in New York City, London, Berlin, and Tokyo. Stephen kept watch at Saint Laurence Catholic Church’s Saturday 2:00 AM Perpetual Adoration hour. Stephen is particularly remembered for his unifying role as an “ambassador”—going out of his way to not miss weddings and other significant milestones of friends and family across the country and around the world, being there for them with untiring generosity.
Stephen’s legacy will be carried on by his wife Dr. Eva Salcedo; children Isabella, Ryan, and Natalia; siblings Vincent and Melissa (Philippe); his mother Cecile; and parents-in-law Leopoldo and Evelyn Salcedo. Stephen was preceded in death by his father Narciso. The family is deeply grateful to everyone reaching out with prayers and condolences.
