Sue Whomble Burchfield

Glenna Sue Whomble Burchfield went to her heavenly home on September 15, 2021. She was born on January 8, 1944, in Morris, Oklahoma to Bus and Viva Whomble. She grew up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with her parents and her brother. She graduated from Okmulgee High School. She worked in management in various industries throughout her life. Sue’s greatest role in life was mother to her three children. She was an avid Houston sports team fan especially for Rockets and Astros. She loved spending time with her family and friends whether watching movies or sports games, cooking in the kitchen, or laughing from telling memories of the past.

She is survived by her son Dirk Moore of Sugar Land, Texas; her son Shawn Moore and wife Dana of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her daughter Ashlee Elersic and husband Jason of Missouri City, Texas; sister-in-law Cheryl Whomble of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; niece Shannon and husband Mark Williams of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Dylan and Nathan; five granddaughters, Chelsea, Lindsay, Shawnee, Alyssa and Morgan; two great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478, followed by a reception from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
