

Sue Ellen Smith went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. She left her earthly body in her hometown of Sugar Land, Texas, upgrading to a perfect, ever-lasting heavenly body and joining family and friends who went before her.
Sue Ellen was born on August 18, 1947 in Meridian, Mississippi to parents, Jack and Jean Sikes, predeceased. She grew up in Ruston, Louisiana. Sue Ellen married her high school sweetheart, Richard Alan Smith, on December 25, 1967. They were married for 47 wonderful years. God blessed them with four beautiful children - one of whom, Richard Jackson Smith, she is now reunited with in Heaven.
Sue Ellen was a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, and Gran. She loved gardening, watching the birds on her deck, decorating her home, volunteering with the homeless at Second Mile Mission Center and serving the church.
Sue Ellen is survived by her husband, Richard Smith; daughters, Cindy Smith, Diana Smith Turner and husband, Michael, and Cacey Smith Hershey and husband, Jason; sister, Polly Smith and husband, Wayne; and grandsons, Wesley Turner, Miles Turner, and Oliver Hershey.
She leaves behind countless other sweet sisters and brothers in Christ, including her Church family at Cornertstone Community Bible Church in Rosenberg, Texas.
The visitation was held at The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. The Memorial Service and Reception was be held at Cornerstone Community Bible Church, 6701 FM 762 in Rosenberg, TX 77469 Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM
