Tommy Lynn Westmoreland

Tommy Lynn Westmoreland passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 in Sugar Land, Texas. Tommy Lynn Westmoreland was born on January 24, 1947 in Kermit, Texas. He married the love of his life, Donna, on January 25, 1976.

Tommy attended Sul Ross University before moving to Houston where he joined the Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 211. He began his life-long career in commercial and industrial air conditioning which became the passion of his life. Tommy was well respected in the industry. He loved to mentor new apprentices as they began to learn the craft.

Growing plants and flowers was his life-long hobby. His patio was filled with plants and looked like a jungle. Puttering in the yard was his happy place.

Tommy loved his family and friends. In his youth, he was a certified diver and loved dive trips with friends and family. Family reunions and trips visiting family were a big part of his life.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Donna, sister, Eva Bayer and husband, Charles, and his brother, Dan Westmoreland, sister-in-law Sandra Westmoreland, his brother-in-law James Hatchett, along with many cousins, nephews and nieces. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Nelson Westmoreland, and his brother, Joe Westmoreland.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dignity Funeral Home at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugarland, Texas, phone number 281.565.5015. A private ceremony will be in Llano, Texas in the family plot.
