Virginia Ann Arceneaux,“ Pickie” Barker passed away on April 22, 2019 in Sugarland, Texas at the age of 77. Virginia was born on September 1, 1941 in Napoleonville to Irving and Irene Arceneaux. Virginia is preceded in death by her son, James Joseph Barker, Needville, TX. She is survived by her devoted friend Richard Harr, sons, David Barker of DeLand,FL and Michael Barker and his wife Donna, Sugarland, TX. ; daughter-in-law, Emily Barker, Needville, TX.; sisters Cecile LeJune, Baton Rouge, LA. and Loretta Ramirez,Gonzales, LA.; brothers Irving (Garnet) Arceneaux, Thibodeaux, LA., Ernest (Marie) Arceneaux, Labadieville, LA. , Donald (Fran) Arceneaux, Napoleonville, LA.; grandchildren, Jennifer Helfer, Ashley Barker, Katie Calabrese, Sarah Barker, Kelli Barker, Matthew Barker, Hannah Barker, Brandon Feather, Brianna Feather and great grandson, Scott James Younker. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She graduated from Assumption High School and attended Nichols State University. She moved to Missouri City, TX in 1980 and has resided in the Southwest Houston area since that time. She worked for more than 20 years in the banking industry before her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed travel, bowling, her family and friends, and her cats. She volunteered at West Houston Medical Center and was active with the Mavericks until recent health issues prevented her from doing so. She was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered by her kindness and her devotion to family and friends. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 in The Morrow Chapel from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm; a reception will be provided from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm in The Family Events Hall at Settegast-Kopf & Co. at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478. Following the next morning, Saturday, April 27, 2019, recital of the Rosary will take place at 9:30 am and the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am, at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Drive, Houston, Texas 77082. Following the Mass there will be a reception in the Family Parish Center.

Virginia Ann Arceneaux,“ Pickie” Barker passed away on April 22, 2019 in Sugarland, Texas at the age of 77. Virginia was born on September 1, 1941 in Napoleonville to Irving and Irene Arceneaux.
Virginia is preceded in death by her son, James Joseph Barker, Needville, TX.
