Virginia Cecelia Jacobson

With heavy hearts we remember and celebrate the life of Virginia Cecilia Jacobson, age 96, who passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born on November 24, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Virginia graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer High School in Vallejo, California in 1946. She then attended San Jose State University and was a member of the Phi Rho Gamma Sorority. After college Virginia went to work at INA Insurance Company, where she met Clyde Jacobson, who she married in 1957 and they were blessed with 5 children. They moved in 1973 to Meadows Place, Texas, and retired to Missouri City, TX.

Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Clyde, her twin sister Marion, and two brothers, Herbert and Lawrence. She is survived by her brother David Bruening and his wife Barbara of Meadow Vista, California; her five children, Elizabeth Gordon and her husband Andy of Lafayette, LA, Paul Jacobson and his wife Debbie of Flint, TX, Doug Jacobson and his wife, Cathy of Burnet, TX, Diane Bourgeois and her husband Tim of Fulshear, TX, Richard Jacobson and his wife, Kelley of Missouri City, TX; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Nicholas Bourgeois, Christopher Jacobson, Jonathon Jacobson, Matthew Jacobson, Phillip Jacobson, and Alec Jacobson.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family Thursday January 23, 2025, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 115 7th St., Sugar Land. The Rite of Committal will be held at 2:00PM at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston.
