He was born to his parents, Pantaleon Bourbon Amistad and Porferia Romero Amistad, on August 17, 1952, in the Philippines. He earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting from the University of Pangasinan. His careers included being a bank manager in the Philippines for China Bank and later he was the Inspector–in–Charge for USDA in California. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alaminos, Pangasinan Philippines.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Teofila Josef Amistad; a daughter, Ella Rhea Amistad Luna, and son-in-law Brent Luna; a son, Wesley Amistad, and daughter-in-law Marie Rochelle Amistad; his sister, Virginia Amistad Dimalanta, and brother-in-law Albert Dimalanta; his brother, Rolando Romero Amistad, and sister-in-law Mirafe Mendoza Amistad; and his grandchildren: Israel Sage Amistad, Nehemiah Mace Amistad, Phoenix Grey Amistad Luna, and Robin Snow Amistad Luna.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 21st, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 SW FWY., Sugar Land, TX 77478. A reception is to follow in the funeral home event room.
