

Mr. Hennigan, a native of Barham, LA, has resided in Sulphur since 1954. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He retired as an operator from Citgo after 38 years of service. Mr. Hennigan enjoyed fishing and hunting, sitting on his porch watching birds, gardening and especially tending to his pecan trees. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Theolinde Rothmeier Hennigan; son, Adolph L. Hennigan, Jr. and wife Angelika of Sulphur; daughters, Linda McCown and husband Kenneth of Sulphur, Eileen Mays of Lake Charles and Joann Hennigan Pennick of Lake Charles; siblings, Marguerite Holston of Lake Charles, Rudolph Hennigan of Many, Randolph Hennigan of Minden, Wayne Hennigan of DeRidder; Mike Hennigan of Sulphur, Sue Locke of Natchitoches; Elaine Jirouch of Virginia, and Beatrice Meadows of North Carolina; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Maudie Hennigan; and two brothers, Kenneth Hennigan and Frank Hennigan.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 am until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
