She was a native of Pecan Island and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 30 years. Aledia enjoyed walking, cooking and canning, going to church, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sulphur. Mrs. Brannen had retired after over 20 years of service at Sel-Mart in Sulphur.
Survivors include her children, Paul Foreman and wife, Carol of Gaffney, South Carolina, David Foreman and wife, Jan of Lake Charles, Earl Foreman of Sulphur, Robert Foreman and wife, Ramona of Sulphur, Brenda Richardson and husband, Robert of New Jersey, and Aline Cantrell and husband, Charlie of Chesnee, South Carolina; one brother, Euclide Bourque of California; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Claiborne Brannen; and three sons, Steven, Donald, and Jimmy Foreman.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Arvin Harrell will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles.
