Allen "Big Al" Paul Bryant

Allen was born on December 1st, 1978 to Paul and Alice White Bryant. Allen loved playing baseball growing up and had an incredible athletic talent. He also enjoyed everything outdoors and took a huge amount of pride in keeping the yard meticulous. And if you knew Allen, you knew that he loved everything LSU. Allen was widely known for his larger than life personality so much that he was nicknamed “Big AL”. Allen never met a stranger and would go to the ends of the earth to help friends and family members. Allen is survived by his wife of 18 years, Amanda Rae Miller Bryant, twin daughters, Rylie Addyson and Raigen Annyston and son, Zayn Allen; his mother Alice Bryant, brothers Shannon Cox, Jack “JJ” Cox, and Chad Bryant and dog-child, Harley, and sisters, Thonetta Cox Miller and husband, Dan; and Christayle Bryant Agosto and husband, Carlos. Nephews, Scotty Spell, Cody Spell and wife Kali, Gage Cox, Christopher Cox and wife, Brandi, Grant Miller and Ethan Cox; nieces, Lisa Miller Atwood and husband, Phillip, Kimberly Miller, Amanda Cox Westlake and husband, James, McKenzie Cox Pitre and husband, Schuyler Pitre and Tate Miller; great nephews Gage Smith, Benjamin Spell, Tripp Pitre, and Kasen Smith and great nieces, Mackenzie Atwood, Lindsey Atwood, Alivia Spell, Sofie Cox, Harper Cox, and Carter Lynn Spell; father-in-law, Steven Ray Miller, mother-in-law, Diana Lynn Felps and husband, Norwood, brother-in-law, Troy Miller and wife, Dana and sister-in-law, Sharon Miller Smith; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by his father Paul “POD” Arden Bryant.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Monsignor Danny Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation will be held from 12 – 8 p.m. Monday with a Rosary at 6 p.m., and will resume on Tuesday at 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. all at the funeral home.
