I first met Allie/Veer when she came to work with me. She was a bubble of energy and positivity. I hired her on the spot.  She always had a smile to share and if you listened carefullya song to sing. I'm so sorry she had to deal with the health issues she had but she always pushed through them. She will be missed. Praying for God's peace be with her family and friends.

Miss the times hanging at regal and then the times you and John and whole bunch of people would come over to my place to chill and jam more music. 

Day one, I'd consider it.  Day one of knowing that I'll never see her smile again at me.  Day one of never being able to share our creative works together.  Day one of wishing I could have reached out somehow and sooner to help play a part in her realizing her dreams. 

I remember the annoyed look on her face when I would try to teach her something on the guitar, acting as if 'duh! I got this, I saw what you did....'

Those 4 years turned into 5 recently and things did not turn out as planned, but everything worked out; and I'm devastated over it.  I have learned to "pack" and "unpack" my feelings, I think Allie understood very strong feelings and had some of her own that were beautifully expressed as her grandmother described at the celebration.  But there was so much more... I wish I could jump into the dimension where this didn't happen. 

I had friends in high school that had kids, but Sarah was not one of them, I remember Allie playing on the floor in their house in Lake Charles. 

I remember her eavesdropping on Sarah and I's conversations, popping out from the hallway by the kitchen to interject or remark.   Sitting with us, asking me questions; pretending to not be that interested in our subjects but not fooling me. 

I remember the goats and chickens, and bunnies.  I remember her innocence,  and her reticent indignance towards how careless the world really can be, quite a transition.   She was brilliant.  And I am still having trouble thinking I will never see her face again.  

I love you and your mother very much Allie.  Feel free to stop by anytime, you'll love it in New Orleans <3 very goth and there's lots of spirits here to mingle with. 

My Alliebug, my Lovebug, my best friend, you are upright the sweetest being I have ever met and given the amazing opportunity to get to know you . You’re heart is pure gold , you love so deeply and I will always and forever love you and you’ll always be Baby V . May you rest with the stars, I remember how much you love them. 🖤

My condolences to the family Allie was and forever will be a great person 

Allie loved getting dressed up and doing her makeup. On most occasions, Allie would wear her favorite color, black. 

For a period of time, Allie enjoyed working as a stagehand at the Golden Nugget  setting up scenery, lights, sound, props, rigging, and special effects for a show. 

Allie loved experimenting with her hair, dying it different colors and cutting it different ways, even though she would swear she’s growing her hair out again.

I’ll miss seeing her sweet face and hearing her laugh. There’s nothing that can quite replace  that. 

I’ll miss seeing Allie with her fluffy pigtails.

There it is. There’s the smile that could brighten anyones day! She always wanted others to feel happy and loved and tried her hardest to do so herself. 

This was before or after one of our “Lighted Christmas Parades” at Sulphur High, in the Band Hall. 


I wish we could have just one last ride together. I’ll miss our rides to nowhere, which sometimes meant Holly Beach to get shells. I miss looking over and seeing you smiling, yelling the lyrics to your favorite songs. 

Allie had a strong love for all living things, even from a young age. I remember going out to the chicken coop with her at her mom’s house and she had named each one and could tell them all apart. 

Allie was a natural musician and could’ve played any instrument that she wanted. Most notably, she was the tiny girl marching with the giant bari sax. She received many awards for her performances. I remember listening to her play, it was smooth and heartfelt as if she could make the instrument sing. 

Allie and I used to stay up all night with loud music and incense burning just to paint whatever came to mind. This night a bunch of friends were over at her apartment in Lake Charles near Petro Bowl. We were all painting on a wooden board from Allie’s Dad. Allie painted several things on the board, one being the vibrant octopus. 

I remember this dress hanging in her closet at her moms, she loved the colors, and it looked great on her for homecoming ! 

Dear Allie,
There is a memory of you as a wee person, definitely not like other wee people I had met in that time. You played with my little brother, were probably the first girl he wanted to marry, maybe made him cry because you refused his proposal and I think you took scheduled afternoon naps. I remember your father wanted you to have everything possible, he really did his best to do that. From my perspective, I think you helped him find his purpose. I remember when we evacuated watching how he interacted with you and my little brother, he really is good with kids. People who keep that inner child alive often are. 
Like most people I lost touch with your mom, but I remember her belly when you were in it. She always looked really cute when she came around, like the best dressed pregnant woman is how I recall it. One day she and I were going to a bookstore, I think I said hello to an acquaintance and he made a bit of a scene over your mom’s baby belly. Not in a bad way, he was in awe and wanted to pay his respects by asking to touch her belly. He was  a musician. As I recall, she might have been amused and so she agreed to let him, for the next minute he held his hand to her belly. When I think back on it there was something magical about her belly and she did seem to glow with you inside. My stepsister, because you share a mutual friend, knew who you were and she said you were one of the most beautiful people she had ever seen. When she saw you, she always felt compelled to tell you that you were beautiful so you would not forget.
Though our paths on the planet diverged you as well as your parents will always be in my heart.
I wish I could tell you that you have purpose, even now Allie, you are not without purpose.

I met Allie when I coached a youth soccer team she was on. She and my oldest daughter, Connor, became friends and remained so, but lost touch a bit in high school. Allie spent a few nights at our house and once even traveled with us to visit my parents over a weekend. Even though she didn’t hang out with my daughter much in high school, I would still see her in the halls at Sulphur High. I will always remember her as a sweet young woman with a lovely smile; those cherubic cheeks! I have shed tears for your loss. She will be missed.

Allie always held a special place in my heart, ever since we met while playing soccer together as kids. She called me dinosaur because I wore my hair in two braids that looked like a dinosaur tail. She always had the brightest, goofiest smile. She was the most creative, artistic, expressive, and authentic person I’ve ever met. She was the type of person that made every friend feel like a best friend. She was truly beautiful inside and out. So many of my memories from middle school are centered around her and our friendship. I will have love for her always. 

Allie was always so happy, cheerful, and so sweet. Any time I saw her she had a smile on her face. I was in band with her and let me tell you, everyone in band loved her. Everyone! She was such a hugger, and I will forever miss those comfort hugs. She will be missed by so many. We love you sweet girl.❤️

The hardest thing a parent can ever go through is losing a child.  I lost my 22 year old Daughter Anna in January of 2020.  My heart is broken for Allie's family and friends to now have to face that kind of pain. May God bless and keep you. Tammy Powers

Sarah, Jimmy and families....sending so much love, and my sincerest condolences to you all on your loss. I remember from Orlando..she and Soren were only a couple weeks apart.  My heart goes out to you.
