Barbara Trahan Dugas, 72, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born to her late parents, Russell and Anna Trahan on June 26, 1952 in Long Beach, New York. Some of her hobbies included playing Bingo, Dominoes, Cards, and drinking coffee with all her friends and family. Most of all, she loved her family more than anything.
She is survived by her son, William Carroll Dugas Jr. (Belinda) of DeQuincy; daughter, Trudy Marie Dugas of DeQuincy; brother, Russell “Buddy” Trahan (Tammy) of Carlyss; sister, Bonnie Myers of Arkansas; grandchildren, Logan Dugas, Samuel Perkins, Summer Laird, Harley Laird, Kasey Bushnell (Caden), Jayson McCardle, and Jordan McCardle; numerous great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, William Carroll Dugas Sr.; sisters, Patricia “Pat” Trahan, Kathleen “Kathy” Hyatt, Cynthia (PeeWee) Trahan, and Christine Trahan.
A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Mike Streams officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields, Louisiana.
