Betty Jean Carpenter, age 91, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 10, 2022. Betty was born on December 27, 1930 in Westlake, Louisiana.
Betty was a longtime member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Charles Carpenter, parents, Arthur Brooks Elliott and Evelyn LeBlue Elliott, and sister, Edith Elliott LaSatta.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jackie Carpenter Farris and Sandra Carpenter Foreman; and grandson, David Wayne Schofield.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial funeral home.
