Bladan Allen East, 16, of Sulphur, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2026. Bladan was the third of four boys born to Kayla East and Bryan Cannatella on March 8, 2010, in Lake Charles. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend who will be remembered with enduring love.
Bladan was a 10th grader at Sulphur High School. Though his time on this side of Heaven was far too short, his life reflected a steady courage, a gentle heart and a spirit that met each day with determination. In the ways that mattered most, he showed resilience through the ordinary demands of life and growing up, learning and trying to find his place in the world.
Bladan will be remembered for the warmth he carried, the strength he showed, and the adventurous way he engaged with the world around him. His loving memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
He found joy in video games, drawing and spending time with friends. He also carried an adventurous spirit that drew him toward the simple freedom of being outside. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors.
Those left to cherish his precious memory are his parents, Kayla and Bryan; his brothers: Destin Savoie, Caden Duplechain and Curt Cannatella; grandmothers: Eva LeDoux and Sandra Mayer; and grandfather, Bryan East. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Burley LeDoux, Andrew Mayer and Ray Cannatella.
Visitation will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will resume on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 8:00 am until the time of service.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on September 19, 2026, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Hixson celebrant Jody Tyler Espinosa will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton.
