Bob was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was a member of Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila Dean and husband, Raymond of Carlyss; his siblings, Warren Ellender of Texas and Sandra Pay of the United Kingdom; his granddaughter, Chelsey Jones of Carlyss; his nieces, Amanda Pay and partner, Mark, and Lucy Pay, all of the United Kingdom; and a great-niece, Freja. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joy Jones; a son, Erin Jones; and a grandson, Matthew Graham.
The family will have a private memorial service. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
