Bruce was raised in Idaho but adopted Louisiana as his home for almost 40 years. He was a retired Navy Chief and spent two years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Verda Gilreath; and a son, Terry Gilreath. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Brenda Gilreath; four children, Lloyd Gilreath and wife, Rhonda of Boise, Idaho, Chris Davis and husband, Tim of Ventress, Michelle Braneff and husband, Glenn of Big Woods, and Marlene Parks and husband, Randy of Sunset; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
