He was a Sulphur native who loved spending time with his boys. He enjoyed cooking, welding and big family dinners.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Jean Chasson; sons, Johnathon Ray Chasson and his wife Josie, of Sulphur, and Andrew David Chasson of Sulphur; brothers and sisters, Rhonda Peloquin, Tony Chasson and his wife, Rhonda, D. Lynn Dugas and her husband Reggie, and his twin Charles Chasson and his wife Tanya; father-in-law Gene Dowers; godchildren Shelley Duhon and Marcus Chasson, and his long time friend Ronald Sonnier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Durphy and Lula Mae Chasson, sister Barbara Chasson, nephew Shawn Martin, niece Tyler Barnes and brother-in-law Johnny Peloquin.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to help defray the cost of final expenses.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lake Area Worship Center in Westlake. Gene Dowers will officiate.
