

Carol was a native of Johnson Bayou and lived in Belmont for 2 years. Before Hurricane Rita she attended Bayou Lighthouse in Johnson Bayou. Jesus was her life, and she loved her family.
Survivors include her loving husband, Rogerest Romero; mother Edith Garza of Merryville; Children Desiree Romero and her husband, Joe Sydes, of Belmont, Calise Romero and his wife Francia, of Johnson Bayou, Scott Romero and his wife Sandra, of El Paso, TX, Ruthann Nall and her husband DeWayne, of Toledo Bend, and Adam Romero of Belmont; brothers David Tingler, Danny Tingler and Steven Tingler; and 12 grandchildren with 2 on the way.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Romero; father Henry Curtis Tingler; and brother Henry Edward Tingler.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Denny Vincent will officiate. Burial will be in Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
