Charles Edward Guidry

Charles was a lifetime resident of the Sulphur/Carlyss area. He owned and operated a local business, Lynn’s Office Supply. He was an agriculture teacher at Sulphur High School. He was known for his never-ceasing loyalty, kindness, generosity, willingness to help anyone in need and most of all his gentle and huge heart.

Survivors include his only child, Travis Lynn Guidry and wife Tina of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Charles Tyler Guidry, Mason Guidry, Azali Guidry, Chloe Lynn Guidry, Alexandra Lee and Kristen Doxey; a great-granddaughter, Matilda Guillory, all of Lake Charles; a sister-in-law, Mona Guidry of Ville Platte; three nephews, Nicholas Guidry, Gabriel Guidry and wife Jill, and Andrew Guidry and wife Ashley, all of Ville Platte; and numerous other cousins and family members.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel with Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux . Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
