Charles Robert "Woody" Leger

Woody loved hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycles. He was a long time member of the Lake Charles Gun Glub, and the NRA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed and forever will be in our hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Mere Leger; daughter, Jessica Mae Leger; grandchildren, Kane Stanley and Mela Welch; mother-in-law, Esther Esthay Mere; seven sisters and three brothers, Ferddie Lloyd Leger and wife, Lynn; Danny Floyd Leger, and wife, Linda; Diann Welch and husband, Kenny' Dottie Monceaux and husband, Percy; Ethel Dykes and husband, Jimmy; Dale Landry; Paula Leger; Delma Leger; Barbara Leger Dorddy; and John Leger and wife, Ki Cha; two sisters-in-law, Doris Mere Voussine and husband, Joe; and Lois Mere Darbone and husband, Clayton; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of Godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Issacc Ferddie Leger, mother, Sophia Burch Landry and husband, Delancy Landry, sister, Freddie Marie Buttikofer and husband, Cozo, sister, Timmer Leger Newmann, father-in-law, Louis Mere, Sr., brother-in-law, Louis Mere, Jr., sister-in-law, Mary Jane Mere Bertrand.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel. Services will be led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux.
