

He was born on August 24, 1952 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Alvin (Wally) Sirmons and Alice Andrus. Charles graduated from Sulphur High School in 1970 and married Linda Beck on April 10, 1971. He served honorably in the Army from 1970 to 1973, and then began a 38 year career with Conoco in which he excelled as a manager and leader, holding various professional positions in California, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Charles’s interest involved the activities that his children and grand children were involved with, hunting, fishing, and flying remote control airplanes. He holds a lake record Largemouth Bass at 15.69 pounds, landing him on the top 35 largest Largemouth Bass ever caught in Texas waters.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Linda, daughter Leslie (Sergio Hernandez) Sirmons, twin sons Terry (Stephanie) Sirmons and David Sirmons; 6 Grandchildren, Nolan, Hannah, Nicole, Orrin, Caleb, and Sadie; 1 brother Greg (Sharon) Sirmons, 2 sisters Pat (Jim) Lockhart, Barbara (Mike) Smith.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, TX 77562 on Tuesday July 3, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm. Charles will then be transported to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, 2051 E. Napoleon St., Sulphur, LA 70663 where funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, July 5, 2012 with burial following at Mimosa Pines Cemetery.
