

Charlotte was a native of Germany and lived in Augsburg and Munich Germany, Sulphur, the Chicago area, and New Orleans since 1970. She loved cooking, knitting, and sewing. She liked to travel and to ice skate. In her teens, Charlotte was accomplished in gymnastics and in track and field.
Survivors include her daughters, Leslie John Pickett of San Antonio, Texas, and Paula John Gerdes and husband Bob of Mandeville, Louisiana; and grandchildren, Julie Becnel, Caroline Gerdes, Stephanie Pickett, Jennifer John and honorary grandson, Andrew Becnel. She is preceded in death by her husband John Joseph John, and brother Albert Galler.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 21, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until time of service Monday, all in the funeral home.
