Christine Burt

Christine resided in Humble for the past 6 months, but was a longtime Sulphur resident. She was a Bell City native and graduated from Bell City High School in the Class of 1965. Christine attended the First Baptist Church of Sulphur. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, and above all, being a mother and a grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Jared Burt and wife Kara, of Humble, Texas; sisters, Loretta Reed of Lake Charles, Pauline Wendel and husband Michael of Westlake, Maxine Bull and husband Jimmy of Huffman, Texas; brother Michael Schultz and wife Becky of Bell City; and grandchildren, Alyssa and Bryce Burt.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Burt, parents Clarence and Marie Schultz; and brother-in-law Stewart Reed.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 10, in the First Baptist Church of Sulphur. The Rev David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
