Clifton "Captain Morgan" Bill Morgan, 74, of Sulphur, LA. passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in Lake Charles, LA. He was born to his late parents, William and Josephine Morgan on January 11, 1948 in Vinton, LA. He enjoyed animals of any kind, Mounds Candy, fishing, rock collecting, history buff, watching American Pickers on TV, sitting on his porch drinking coffee, and loved tending to his flower garden. Clifton loved spending time with his cat, Moosashe. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sister, Betty Bumgarden of Sulphur; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; along with great-great nieces and nephews.
Clifton is preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Morgan, Francis Morgan, and Alvin Morgan; two sisters, Helen East and Anna Dowden; and his good friends, Jimmy O'quain and Donald Benoit.
A Celebration of Clifton's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 10:00 am, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, beginning at 9:00 am until the time of the service.
