Curry Burk Walker Jr.

Curry, better known as C.B., was born on July 27, 1935, in Bryan, Texas to the late Kittie and Curry B. Walker, Sr. C.B. leaves behind his wife of 57 years Judy Walker and their four children, Deborah Renfroe, Cheryl Mouton, Burk Walker and Laura Thomas; one brother, Robert Lee; two sisters, Vada Thomas and Joan Boykin; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

C.B. was a loving father and husband with endless energy, a desire for excitement and adventure, as well as, enduring love for family and friends. C.B. graduated from LaGrange High School and from there worked for Firestone for twenty years. After leaving Firestone he opened Plant Specialties, becoming a successful businessman and a pillar of the community. He was an active member of Houston River Baptist Church through the Maverick Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at One Lakeshore Drive, Suite 1510, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70629.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, in Houston River Baptist Church. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery under the guidance of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8-10 a.m., all at the church.
