David “Bubba/Ferg” Benjamin Ferguson, 72, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was born to his late parents, Ben and Geneva Ferguson on April 18, 1953, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, shrimper, and traveling with his wife and friends. He worked for Olin, Lyondell, and Cleco before retiring.
He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Holycross; son, Shaun Ferguson (Kristy) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; daughters, Kris Nicholson (Todd) of Sulphur, Louisiana; Nicole Decker of South Carolina; Uronie Cormier of Carlyss, Louisiana; Janiel Castle (Dan) of Texas; Brother, Ed Ferguson (Debbie) of Carlyss, Louisiana; Sisters, Cherie Otis of Texas; Lori Vincent (Mike) of Sulphur, Louisiana along with grandchildren: Ava, Claire, Alex, Elise, Leann, Jacob, Mackenzie, Danny, Sydney, Mariah, Jason, Aiden, Noah, Cameron, and Carpathia; and many nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mark Ferguson and Bryan Ferguson; along with his sister, Grace Lyn Ferguson.
