A native of Clendenin, West Virginia, David had lived in Sulphur for the past two years after moving from Kentucky. He had a lifelong love for all things Harley-Davidson and was known for his strong patriotism. David proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He had worked for Allied Chemical Company in Orange, Texas for over 10 years and then worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement.
Survivors include his children, Rodney Kittner and wife, Debra of Sulphur, Colinda Kittner Foster of Sulphur, and Dora Kittner Resha and husband, Edward of Mauriceville, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren with two on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Audley and Margaret Kittner; a daughter, Regina Kittner; and siblings, Janet Kittner, Robert Kittner, Charles “Bud” Kittner, Esther Hendrickson, Alice Beltz, George Kittner, Marjorie Ashley and Blanche Morrison.
