He was a native of Guthrie, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Carlyss for nearly 40 years. David was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years and served in Operation Desert Storm. He was an active member of Victory Worship Center. He served as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal service for many years.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 25 years, Rachel Lindgren; their daughters, Brooke, Kamber, and Payton Lindgren, all of Carlyss; his parents, Larry Lindgren and wife, Linda of Orange, Texas, and Carolyn Deville and husband, Odell of Carlyss; his brother, Daniel Lindgren and wife, Mandy of Carlyss; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 25, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry LaFleur will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to help with expenses.
