Tex was a native of Lake Charles and lived in the Baton Rouge/Walker area since 1984. He attended the Walker Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Tex was a fan of NASCAR and drag racing. He loved hunting. He was a 1976 graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked 34 years at S & S Sprinkler Company.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 and a half years, Teri Texada; sons, Wesley Texada and his wife Candace, of Ethel, Louisiana, and Kary Texada of Walker; brother John Texada; sisters, Sharon Texada and Barbara Rickert; and 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Hunter Texada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents George W. and Myrtle Texada; and grandparents George H. and Myrtle Texada.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and from 8-10 a.m. Friday, in the funeral home.
