Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Timothy J. Nunez of Hackberry, and Jackie Nunez and wife, Sondra of Gillis; nine grandchildren, Amy Nicole Gallien and husband, Timothy, Kristin Brown and husband, Brian, Melissa Swire, Lane Nunez, Cassidy Nunez, Cody Nunez, Kaelin Clark and husband, Daniel, Shaina Guidry, and husband, Ethan, and Aaron East; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton J. Nunez; her son, Shane Nunez; her parents, Desire and Annie Turner LaBove; and her sisters, Nora LaBove Swire and Ora Jean LaBove Jinks.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hackberry. Father GiJo Ikkaramattom officiated. Visitation was from 4-9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the church, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Monday. Burial was held in the Hackberry Cemetery.
