Debra graduated from Sulphur High School in 1972 and moved to Houston where she attended cosmetology school. After twenty years she moved back to Sulphur. Debra enjoyed sewing, making crafts, cooking and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lucille Chapman of Sulphur; sister, Donna Sue Oates and husband, Charles of Dallas; brother, Ted Braxton Chapman and wife, Marsha of Sulphur; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Braxton Chapman Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Blocker will officiate.
