

He was born November 11, 1919, in Wister, Okla., and has been a longtime resident of Sulphur. He was a pipefitter/plumber at Cities Service (Citgo) for 36 years. Edgar enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. We will miss him so very much.
Survivors include: a son, Robert Morris; a daughter, Donna Morris of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Roy Morris and his wife Susan, Charles Morris and Carol Morris; three great-grandsons; siblings, Lewis Morris and his wife Marie, and Ruby Lynd and her husband James; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Muriel Morris; brothers, Namon Morris, Vestil Morris and Billy Morris; and a sister, Birty Morris.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South of Carlyss. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5 — 8 p.m. and resume Saturday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
