Edgar Andrew Morris

He was born November 11, 1919, in Wister, Okla., and has been a longtime resident of Sulphur. He was a pipefitter/plumber at Cities Service (Citgo) for 36 years. Edgar enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. We will miss him so very much.

Survivors include: a son, Robert Morris; a daughter, Donna Morris of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Roy Morris and his wife Susan, Charles Morris and Carol Morris; three great-grandsons; siblings, Lewis Morris and his wife Marie, and Ruby Lynd and her husband James; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Muriel Morris; brothers, Namon Morris, Vestil Morris and Billy Morris; and a sister, Birty Morris.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South of Carlyss.
