

Ethel was a native of north Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for nearly 75 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she had served as a church secretary, and was a charter member of Maplewood First Baptist Church. She had worked for many years with the Sears catalog store in Sulphur and was also an accomplished seamstress. Ethel was a long time member of the Sulphur Garden Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Love Chapter #209.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet Peshoff of Sulphur and Virginia Brantley and husband, Tom of Gladewater, Texas; her brother, Jerry Lee Horton of Benton; grandchildren, Jeff Peshoff, Trent Peshoff, Anna Huckabay and Amanda Adams; great-grandchildren, William, Sarah, Mary, John, Sydney, Morgan, Julian, Jack, Ariel, Rayna, Brennan, Nathan, Olivia and Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clark J. Pollard; a son-in-law, Robert L. Peshoff; and siblings, Virginia Smith, George F. Horton, and Shelly Gene Horton.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Ronnie Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
