

Frances, an Arkansas native, has resided in Sulphur since 1942. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur and was also a member of the Eastern Star. Frances retired from Firestone after 42 years of service in the Personnel Department.
She is survived by two sons, Alan Wayne Hewitt and his wife Melanie and Gayland Bruce Hewitt, all of Sulphur; brother, Frederick Robin Freeman of Las Cruces, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Jeff Hewitt and his wife Tara of Sulphur, Jared Hewitt and his wife Ashlee of Natchitoches; Chelley Hewitt of Jacksonville, Florida and Lori Hewitt of Colleyville, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Acie John Hewitt; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Visitation will be held 4 – 8p.m. on Sunday in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and resume on Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be in Big Woods Cemetery.
