

Freddie was an Oakdale native who lived in Sulphur for 36 years. He loved his family, his job, and his motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Kelli Erline Jenkins Cowan; mother, Maralee Walker and her husband, Tee, of Oakdale; children, Malisa Erline Cowan Vincent and her husband, Brandon Joseph, of Sulphur, Benjamin Lee Cowan and his companion, Natalie Ann Johns, of Sulphur, Daniel Eugene Cowan of Sulphur, and Adam Leroy Elson Cowan, of Sulphur; estranged children, Monique Denaye Dowden and Freddie Eugene Davis of Sulphur; sisters, Matilda Logan of Oakdale, Joyce Ann Burnitt of Oakdale, and Rita Faye Townley of Oakdale; brothers, Roger Dale Cowan of Texas and Ronnie "Crickett" Cowan of Rapides Parish; half brother Nelson Eddie Walker of Oakdale; and granddaughter, Khloe Olivia "Tink" Johns.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Washie Cowan, Sr., brother Washie Cowan, Jr. and grandmother Dollie Fee.
His funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Bishop Aaron Young officiated. Pallbearers were Freddie Davis, Benjamin Cowan, Daniel Cowan, Adam Cowan, Brandon Vincent, and Bradley Lewis.
Burial was held in the Cowan Family Cemetery. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
