Gabriella Alyce Adams, age 22, of Sulphur, Louisiana gained her Angel Wings on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Gabriella was born on March 1, 1999, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She attended Sulphur High School and the Art Institute of Houston.

Gabriella was a loving daughter, sister, dog mom, and friend who despite the odds never passed up the chance to help or make you laugh in ways only she could. With her immense love for all things art, Gabriella spent much of her life putting her creative spin on ordinary things. Gabriella’s out-of-the-box creativity and comedic outlook on life were just some of the many ways she brought light and joy to any room, she entered.

Gabriella enjoyed time spent with her family more than anything and never passed up the opportunity to eat dinner with her Mawmaw, crack a joke with her dad only he’d understand, playing practical jokes on her sister before talking her into doing her hair, and going fishing and listening to music with her mom.

Gabriella was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven, Lake Charles, and St. Teresa Catholic Church, Carlyss. Gabriella made her teen ACTS Retreat through St. John Bosco Catholic Church.

Gabriella was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Luke and Viola Pratt, maternal grandmother, Jackie M. Beck, and maternal great-grandparents, Alice and Jack McLellan.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her father, Michael Martinez; her mother, Allison Adams and Ed Fontenot; her brothers, Stephon and Brandon Fallon; her sister, Chynna Adams; grandmother, Katry Martinez; grandfather, Mickey Golden; her niece, Lynli Fallon; her nephew, Jake Easton; her step-sisters, Morgan Ravia, Taylor Nevils, and Madison Fontenont; her furbaby, Sammy; aunt, Brandy Hanson and husband, Keith; and numerous cousins and other extended family.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Cursillo Rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m. and visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Luke Krzanowski officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Westlake, under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Family will return to St. Teresa's KC Hall after services for a Celebration of Life Service sponsored by the ACTS community.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hixsonsulphurmemorial.com for the Adams/Martinez family.

Gabby I dont even know where to begin you were such an amazing friend I miss you so much I remember going to sit on the walking bridge as we called it it was some of the best talks I have ever had or when we use to go on our road trips and sing Disney to the top of our lungs I wish I could call u I miss you so much

I used Breezy as the name because honestly that’s what she nicknamed me and called me. Gabby and I had a complex friendship that definitely will always stay with me. She deserved the world and wish it could have been given to her. I’ll always remember random memories we have but a lot of trying to cheer each other up through rough times in life. Thank you for everything you provided to everyone around you, Gabby. Until next time.
Love,
Breezy

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those crushed in spirit.

I can’t imagine the pain you feel, so all I can do is to pray for you. I can’t come to the service because Mom is not doing good. Lots of prayers.

I'm so sorry to learn of Gabby's passing. She was always such a sweet soul. We've visited the last few times that she's come to the Life Center. She is in my prayers as are Mike and Allison.
