She was a native of Plaquemine, was raised in Port Arthur, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Sulphur. Jerry was an avid doll collector and enjoyed cooking, attending church services, visiting with her friends, and attending the L.I.F.T. programs which she referred to as "the funeral home parties". She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur.
Survivors include her children, Danny Doiron and wife, Janene of Vinton, Randy Doiron of Orange, Texas, Mark Doiron of Carlyss, Tim Doiron and companion, Katie Crain of Sulphur, Denise Miller and husband, Richard of McGregor, Texas, Tina Verret and husband, Randy of Lacassine, and Lisa Lacamu and husband, Lee of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her sister, Amelia "Pie" Defrancis of Deer Park, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Doiron; a son, Ricky Doiron; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Miller.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 13, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
