She was a native and lifelong resident of Carlyss and was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Geraldine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing bingo.
Survivors include two sons, Rex Rogers and Alan Rogers, both of Sulphur; one brother, John Wayne Carte of Carlyss; two sisters, Joy Lay and Lou Ann Lay; and one grandson, Alan Brandon Rogers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rogers.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
