He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Harry enjoyed playing games on the computer, watching his cowboy shows and the New Orleans Saints. Another pastime of his was visiting with family and going to the casino with his sisters and brother in laws.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Elodie Bertrand; brothers, Edward Joseph Bertrand and Howard Joseph Bertrand; his sister, Barbara Jean Bourgeois.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Shannon Joseph Bertrand; his sisters, Dorothy Malone and husband Jerry of Lake Charles, Helen Kratzer of Roanoke, LA; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 26 from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday January 27 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. in Hixson Sulphur Memorial. Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. All those in attendance are respectfully asked to wear facial masks due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery.
