Hazel Breaux

Hazel, a native of Kaplan, has resided in Vinton for 80 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She was also active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9854 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion John C. Bowden Post.

Survivors include her five children, John V. "Johnny" Breaux, Jr. and wife Donna of Vinton, Kent Breaux of Fort Worth, Gloria Manuel and husband Ted of DeQuincy, Cathy Richardson and husband Steve of Fort Worth, and Swinford Breaux and wife Roxanne of Carlyss; thirteen grandchildren, Jay, Tim, Jeff, Jonel, Kim, Laurie, Tad, Melissa, Tamera, Dena, Jason, Becky, and Michael; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Jay (Lil John), Brittany, Ryan, Tyler, Lexie Dustin, Layla, Faith, Bentley, Noah, Jessica, Ethan, Becky, Cindy, Morgan, Riley, Charlie, Alex, Wyatt, Abby, Charlotte, one baby girl and 2 babies on the way; and one great-great grandchildren,Aden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23 in St. Theresa's Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Aquino will officiate. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery of Edgerly. Visitation will be in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday, 10 am - 10 pm with a Scripture Service at 6pm followed by a Rosary.
