Hazel, a Louisville native, has resided in Sulphur since 1969. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Sulphur, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hugh Pearson; mother and father, George Lee and Clara Hodge Worrell; brothers, Bennett Lee and James Aaron Worrell; and sister, Ruby Mae Scrivner.
Survivors include sisters, Hilda Dempsey of Louisville, MS, Mary Frances (Fred) Breland of Hammond, LA, Lucy (Joe) Johnson of Canton, MS; and brother, Roy (Dale) Warrell of Ridgeland, MS; her beloved pet, Sadie. She also leaves to cherish her memory numerous nieces, nephews and the many children who called her “Aunt”.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19th, 5 – 8 p.m. and Friday, February 20th at 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Edgefield Cemetery in McCool, MS.
