He was a native of Harrisonburg, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 70 years. Wade was a member of Houston River Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting squirrels with a dog, playing and listening to country western music, and watching baseball.
Survivors include his sons, Terry Taylor of Sulphur and Norman Smith of Texas; his sisters, Thelma Poole of Jonesville, and Mildred Smith of Sicily Island; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Agnes King. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Pearl Watson; and two children, Barbara Nell Mount and Kyle Wade Watson.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
