Hilma "Nano" Marie Thibodeaux

She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. In her earlier years she taught Catechism in her home. She was employed at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital as a dietician for 25 years. Having a special needs child, she donated a lot her time and energy supporting their happiness. If you ever needed a babysitter, “Nano” was always there! She loved life and always made everyone feel at home.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Derek Thibodeaux and wife, Rita of Sulphur; grandchildren, Shim Foreman, Derek “Moose” Thibodeaux, Jr. (Wendy), Shelby Thibodeaux, Melissa Vige (Jody), Tonya Kessler, Jody Thibodeaux, Amanda Belcher (Craig), Rustin Thibodeaux; great-grandchildren, Ashley Morgan, Justin Foreman, John Foreman, Shawntel Thibodeaux, Kateri Thibodeaux, Nickolas Thibodeaux, McKenzie Guillory, Ben Guillory, Kaitlyn Champagne, Taylor Bellon, Alexis Bayard, Caleb Thibodeaux and Landon Thibodeaux, Rhiley Thibodeaux; daughter-in-law, Martha Thibodeaux; step grandchildren, Crystal Morgan, Robin Gibson and Dennis Gibson II; step great grandchildren, Alexus Gibson, Kaylin Morgan, Tristan Morgan, Laiana Gibson, and Alaiah Gibson; six great great grandchildren; siblings, Steve Vincent and Barbara “Bobby” Schmidt; numerous nieces and nephews.

“Nano” was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Sheldon Thibodeaux; her children, Ronald Thibodeaux and Heidi Thibodeaux.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 2 p.m. in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Patrick LaPoint will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with a Rosary service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
