

He was a native of Conroe, Tx., and he lived in Starks for 30 years. He was a Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam War and was member of the Starks VFW hall. Howard worked construction for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Jean Brent; son Robert Glenn Brent both of Starks, La; sister Mary Alice Burson of Harolton, Tx; brother, Richard Lee Brent of Conroe, Tx; mother in law Bertha Farley of Starks, La; 4 brothers in law; and 5 sisters in law; Charles and Ethel Farley of Starks, La., Wayne and Peggy Martin of Bridge City, Tx; James and Nancy Leteff of Dayton, Tx.; Kathy Weston of Starks, La.; Mike and Cindy Hickman of DeRidder, La.; 10 nieces, 8 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Flossie Irene Brent; father Clyde Lee Brent; father in law, Charles D. Farley, Sr.; nephew Timothy Allen Farley; niece Rhonda Gale Canada.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 24 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Menard cemetery in Livingston, Tx at 3 p.m. The Rev. Roy Hoosier will officiate.
