It is with great sadness that the family of Hubert Vincent announces his passing on October 29, 2016. Hubert was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, Louisiana, and an avid Sulphur Tors fan. He loved to reminisce about his years playing for Sulphur High School. Hubert was active in Ward 4 Recreation sports for many years as a football coach and softball player. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company as a laboratory supervisor and after retirement worked a number of years as a driving instructor for Parkview Driving School. In life, Hubert loved playing golf and talking endlessly about his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ella Ruth Gary Vincent, his children, Pam Vincent, Kellie and Billy Doucet, Gary and Sandra Vincent, and Whitney and Domingo Torres, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Bernice Peveto.
Hubert was preceded in death by his granddaughter, April Elizabeth Doucet, his parents, Columbus and Clara Vincent, one sister, Ruth Ann Leleux, and five brothers, Alee, Melvin, Nolan, Bill, and Robert Vincent.
Honoring his request there will be no formal funeral service. A family gathering to honor his life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Maureen Lannan and her staff at Cypress Clinic of Sulphur and Heart of Hospice of Lake Charles.
It is with the greatest love that we wish you Godspeed, Hube, Until We Meet Again.
