

She was born in Klondike, Louisiana on August 29, 1917 before moving to Sulphur in 1935. She worked for St. Patrick Hospital and Charity Hospital before retiring in 1979. Inez enjoyed painting on sawblades, collecting antiques, going to garage sales, but most of all, planting her daylilies. She was a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church of Sulphur. Leaving behind a legacy of unselfish service for others, she was loved and adored by her family and friends, and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Poynter of Lake Charles; One sister, Bernice Reeher of Longview, TX; five grandchildren, Wayde Landry and wife, Melissa, Sharon Trahan, Karen Landry, Jason Poynter and wife, Christine, and Justin Poynter; three great-grandchildren, Jarret Landry, Camille and Hayden Poynter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Eddie (Son) Trahan and one daughter, Mona Rae Landry.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South, Carlyss, LA. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
