Jackie Bearden Dupree

She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. Jackie was a teacher with the Calcasieu Parish School Board for over 35 years teaching at various schools in the parish. She enjoyed being with her family and helping run her son's business. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Kennith Dupree; her son, Stacy Bearden and wife, Amy; her step-son, Ken Dupree; and her grandchildren, Madeline Bearden Robertson and Ethan Bearden, all of Sulphur. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elhanon and Edith Bearden.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. David Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
