

She was preceded in death by a son, Marion Ira Jinks, father, Jackson Authement and mother, Azora LaFort Martin, sisters, Barbara Leger, Jean Erbelding, and Thelma Cook.
Jackie was a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish. She was nominated by the Johnson Bayou Extension Homemaker’s Club for the Cameron’s Citizen of The Year Award. She was a Vacation Bible School and Sunday School Teacher, a parent Advisor for the FHA Club, and a parent sponsor for the Cheerleading Club. She loved gardening, cooking gumbo which was her specialty, shopping on the QVC Network, but especially spending time with her family. She helped her husband raise horses for many years. Jackie attended all of her kids and grandkids sporting events. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Charles Jinks; three children, Charlene Jinks Young and husband, Phillip, Trudy Jinks Young and husband, Paul, and Clayton Carl Jinks and wife, Angie all of Johnson Bayou; eight grandchildren, Adam and wife, Megan, Katie, Kandace, Damian, Chance, Ashtyn, Camren, and Reece; six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Duncan, Lainey, Charley, Paisley, Allie, five sisters, Mary Louise Nunez, Connie Sue Hicks and husband, George both of Mauriceville, La, Mary Lynn Constance and husband, John of Big Lake, Georgia Constance of Carlyss; and Wilma Sullivan of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Johnson Bayou Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Head of The Hollow Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3 - 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday all at the church.
