Jacqueline "Jackie" Moss Abraham, age 86, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021 surrounded by her family. Jacqueline was born on November 11, 1934 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Jackie was a very spiritual woman with a great Faith in her Lord and had a very strong Prayer life. She raised her children in the Catholic Church and after raising her children she began attending Faith Temple Church under the guidance of Pastor Sydney Fontenot which brought great healing in her life. Jackie married Rev. Nicholas Abraham on February 12, 1983 which started her membership at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church until her death. She worked for Southwest Builder, American Press, and Care Help. Jackie also worked in Public Communications for West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and St. Patrick Hospital.
Jackie was a writer at heart which she articulated many parts of her life that we will treasure for generations. She was so proud of her family and treasured every moment of her time with her children and grandchildren. Jackie always told us that "love does not divide us, it only multiplies" and she lived by these words. Anyone who ever met Jackie saw the love, grace, and class she showed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Nicholas Abraham, son-in-law, Hal Wood, parents, Marvin and Dondena Moss, brother, Bob Moss, sister, Judy Little, brother-in-law, Jerry Little, and a niece, Denise Moss.
Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Cathy Kinney, Brenda Farr, Dena LeBlanc, Lee Kinney(Tressie), Mark Kinney(Elizabeth), Teresa Wood, and Donna Gary(Mark); grandchildren, Corey Farr(Britni), Kristin Farr Broussard(Ian), Johnathan Hughes(Rhonda), Dant Hughes(Stephanie), Chandler LeBlanc, Clint Kinney, Kaylee Kinney, Garrett Roach, Victoria Roach Daugherty(Caleb), Lauren Ellis(Justin), Luke Kinney(Leighton), Leslie Kinney, Amber Robertson(Beau), Andrew Gary(Malise), Sylvia Abraham, Helen Abraham, Jake Abraham, Kai and Suraya Abraham; great-grandchildren, Devin Farr, Sawyer and Jack Hughes, Theodore and Elliott Hughes, J.W. Farr, Avery Broussard, Ethan Kinney, Cheyenne, Wyatt, and Raylan Robertson Ryleigh, Adalynn, Harper, and Madison Ellis, Adeline Gary, Carsen Kinney and Caven Daugherty; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Sulphur.
Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Reverend Ally Perry will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines, Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
