James Edmond "Buddy" Duraso, Sr., 69, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, in a local hospital.
He was a native of Edgerly and lived in Moss Bluff for 10 years and attended New Life Worship Center. Buddy enjoyed working with horses and cows, fishing and playing dominoes.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 19 years Nancy Duraso of Moss Bluff; children James Edmond Duraso, Jr, and his wife Debbie of Ragley, Gwen Duraso Chauffepied of Ragley, Tammy Duraso Bowling and her husband Pat of Moss Bluff, Buddy Dale Duraso of Edgerly, Deke Edmond Duraso and his wife Laura of West Virginia, and Tonya Duraso Jaetzold and her husband Spencer of Moss Bluff; sister Billie Ann Croker; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
His funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 5, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Kratzer officiated. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
